Essex county fall music ramping up

SOPAC is ramping up the fall season with some good shows in September including Loudon Wainwright III, Toots & the Maytals, Southside Johnny, John Scofield, North Mississippi All Stars and many others.

I’ll post for shows in October, November and December too.  See the link for dates and ticket info.

WELLMONT – Live Nation took over the management of the Wellmont Theater in Montclair from Bowery (Productions) Ballroom.  As a result, there was a really blank summer slate. They are planning to ramp up the show schedule shortly.  Right now they have booked Blink 182 for the first week.  Hoping they continue to book some of the same type of artists that BP featured.

Location – 152 Prospect – South Orange, NJ

Year Built – 1879

There are quite a few classic Victorian homes overlooking this part of Prospect St.  The home sits across from the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church which is also a pretty fine looking building.

‘Building of the week’ will be a new feature for my blog.  I hope you tune in.
