Columbia High School rising

Columbia High School, the home of Maplewood’s and South Orange’s students continues to rise up the ranks of New Jersey’s High Schools.  It is up to #47 from #75 in 2010 and #89 in 2008 out of a total of 328 schools.

This gain comes despite the fact that  under Governor Chris Christie, the South Orange-Maplewood school district has seen its share of school aid drop 37.7 percent.

Back to School

columbia high school

I will enjoy a short journey to Rhode Island to drop my eldest son at RWU this friday.
All three male members of the family usually giggle when our lone female tears up at movies, I wonder if we will at this farewell.
As an official stepfather for eight years, I am proud and smiling.
We’ll catch some waves in Narragansett and Watch Hill before I return to a real estate closing on monday.
Locally, our younger son will be a sophomore at Columbia H.S. here in Maplewood after Labor Day.
Oh yeah, and I’m also proud of my niece who got into a top NJ H.S. – McNair in Jersey City.
